Bye

January 10, 2010

I’m going to stop posting here for a bit. Mainly, I’m not a cool or exciting person, and events of interest seldom take place in my life. That, and I’m going to concentrate my internet efforts to my other projects; Irony and 700cmx. Thanks for reading, the few of you that did.

Crush on ‘em

December 27, 2009

I received this lovely combination as a Christmas gift. I can’t wait to start grinding. I’m stepping down to a 39t ring with this set up. I’ll be sitting at about 70 gear inches. We’ll see how that flies.

Bike?

December 27, 2009

My bro Brent got a camera. And took this picture of my bike. I’d like to write more, but whatever.

Oh, I ‘rawed’ my fork. Much better.

Raq

December 24, 2009

I got a bike rack for the Stanza. Now I can blast around town slipping in and out of gear with bikes attached to my roof.

Time to lower it. This promises to be an adventure since no one makes a coilover system for the U12 chassis and I refuse to use lowering springs or other jankity forms of suspension.

Merry Christmas to me

December 23, 2009

I got some new bars for Christmas from my Mom. I needed them since I bent my last pair being awesome. I opted for a set of DMR 5butt bars. I figured a nice chromoly bar would hold up better than the aluminum jobs I was tearing through. I added some cheapie BMX cranks and a found for free chain ring after my Suginos went by the wayside.

Get a look at that gold chayyn. It’s probably my favorite bike part. My girlfriend has good taste.

Bikes and stuff

December 16, 2009

Last night I had the idea to build up a 26″ hard tail mountain frame with my fixed gear stuff. I ran into a few problems along the way and had to got to use my torch. Torches are fun.

The end result of my work looked sort of promising.

But it was retarded to ride. The rear center was too long. Ick. It did fell really solid though. I think part of that can be attributed to the BMX crankset I put on it. I rode it for about ten minutes before I came in and started building my Leader back up. I went ahead and swapped the BMX cranks over to the Leader. It feels really rigid now, and the extra arm length gives me some more torque. Sweet.

State of my life

December 13, 2009

This is pretty much how things are going for me right now:

I don’t really have much to say. I know there are only like five people that look at this site on a daily basis but I wish I had more to update it with. I’d really like some riding photos or a little edit or something. Something.

I made these things for ohtheirony.biz. I guess they’re neat.

Illsick

November 29, 2009

This is my terrible free camera fitted with a ghet style wide angle that also cost me zero dollars to build. I used PVC, handlebar tape, electrical tape, metal flake paint and a 0.68x wide angle made for an old Coolpix to make this ‘lens’ I love set ups like this. It’s cheap and it works. It reminds me of the dolly bro Aaron and I made months ago.

“Low budget, this is no budget. I’m broker than broke.”

Newspaper

November 27, 2009

I guess I’m going to be on the front page of the local newspaper for some special section. I don’t know much about it. I had to do a little photo shoot and interview. Some of the pictures were pretty cool. This one is okay, I suppose.

Stuff

November 21, 2009

I got some new handlebars for my bike yesterday. They shiny and wide, the perfect combination. I stepped up from 23 ish inches to 26. I really like the extra width.

I went out to film today with my new stuff. It was overall, unsuccessful. But it was fun. My friend Matt rolled around and filmed me with his Panasonic bazooka. His camera is neat.

Photobucket

I wish I could have gotten more footage and put together a little edit. Soon, soon.
